Are you a blogger looking for ways to make money online? Look no further. By taking advantage of your blog, you too can earn additional income without so much of a sweat.

AdBrite, the Internet’s Ad Marketplace

A great way to monetize your blog is by joining AdBrite, an advertising program that pays you to display ads on your blogs. A great advantage of joining AdBrite is you have greater power over what is displayed on your blog and at what price. AdBrite offers a few ad options that you can choose from, including CPC-based text ads to picture and video ads.

With AdBrite, you decide your own rate package and if no ad meets your requirement, an alternative code that you provide will be displayed instead. The alternative code can be anything, including codes from AdSense or other ad services. You can also choose to display text link or other types of ads according to your heart’s content. If you have the space, you may opt to display banner ads that can earn you a bigger payout than text ads. Banner ads are also available on CPM basis.

AdBrite uses two ways to sell your ad space. The first way is by listing your blog according to specific category and tags that you provide. Advertisers can then search for sites that are relevant to their ads and make a bid on the available ad space. This ensures you to earn optimum price for your ad space.

Another way is to allow you to post “Your Ad Here” on your blog to invite advertisers to take advantage of the available ad space.

Advertising with AdBrite

With AdBrite, you have greater controls over your ad space. AdBrite will notify you of new advertising offers through emails and the control panel, which is quite easy to use. Using the AdBrite control panel, you can overview bids, approve ads, set up and delete ad zones. You can also choose what kind of ads to run and what to display if no ads are available, and also format how the ads will look for better integration with your blog.

Compared to AdSense, AdBrite has a less strict Terms of Service and allows wider content, including less family-friendly ads. You can decide to allow the display of less family-friendly content through the control panel.

Payment

Like AdSense, AdBrite does not publish how much it collects from your total earning. However, it is presumed to be around 25% to 30%. AdBrite mails out checks every 60 days. The default minimum amount paid is $100, but you can change this to as low as $5. If your earn less than the minimum amount, the payment is rolled over into the next month.

In short, AdBrite is an alternative for bloggers looking to make money online. It offers greater flexibility and although it has some downfalls, it is worth checking out. A word of advice is that AdBrite is more suitable for blogs with high amount of traffic. Blogs that earn low with AdSense could very well be making more cash with AdBrite. What’s more, AdBrite provides a great customer support and responses are usually sent out within 24 hours.
