Tips: E*Trade Bokerage Form Guideline has been view 7 views
I got a lot of email after I publish “Three method to withdraw paypal fund” and “US Bank Account For Withdraw Paypal” ask how to fill in the E*Trade brokerage account form(for withdraw paypal). So I decide to write a guide how to fill in the form. Here the guide.
- Choose Your Account Type.
- Tick “Individual accout?
- Enter Your Account Holder Information
- Just fill in “Primary Account Holder? section
- Fill in your name, home street address, city, state, zip, phone number, email address, DOB, Social Security Number (MyKad for Malaysia), Employment status, occupation and business street address.
- Answer the three questions.
- In passport section, write your passport number. If you don’t have passport, you can use any authorize Government Issue id like Malaysia use MYKAD.
- Create Your Investment Profile.
- I choose “capital preservation” for question “Investment objective for this account”. Other question, up to you.
- Select Your Account Features.
- In “taxable income” tick “E*TRADE FINANCIAL Extended Insurance Sweep Deposit Account (offers daily interest and FDIC insurance up to $500,000)
- “Tax-Exempt Income” section leaves it empty.
- “Cash Management Features” section, choose all.
- Fund Your Account.
- Choose “I plan to wire fund from another financial institution.”
- Sign and Date Your Application.
- Tick “I am not a u.s person………….”
- Please sign and write the date next to your signature.
- “Printed Name” section, please write name that you want appear in your visa card.
Done…..

Thank you very much for the guide! You are a hero to the malaysian online commmunity!
Currently, I have 5 questions in mind. Appreciate if you could answer them :-
1) When and how do you send the $5 money to them?
2) How and where do you make the request to get a visa for $5?
3) Do you need to attach the W-8BEN form with the E*trade form?
4) What proofs do you need to attach to on the W-8BEN form?
5) Do you need to fill no 2 ‘Country of incorporation or organization’ on the W-8BEN form with ‘Malaysia’?

hai ChengSuMei, this the answer:
1) i sent USD 5 using paypal. Just withdraw your paypal fund to your e*trade account. Read here how to link your paypal to etrade account http://moneyblogger.net/archives/2006/07/20/how-to-add-your-etrade-account-in-your-paypal/
2) Log in to your etrade account and there a help icon, click and the email form will pop up. Ask them to send visa card but after you has transfer the money la.
3) Yes, you need attach the W-8BEN form with the E*trade form.
4) There no need the proof. Just attach your Mykad or other goverment issue id.
5) Oh, sorry to mention it. Just leave it blank.

Hi, Can u.s citizens bank in cash or cheque to our etrade acct? If so, what details can we provide them? Normally how long clearance when we transfer the initial deposit from paypal to appear on etrade? As for your case, how many days? Thks.

hi tan, yes, US citizen can deposit to your etrade account. you must log in to your etrade account and you will see transfer money button and there are writing tell you how. usually its take 3-7 day for the first deposit to paypal confirm your bank account but after paypal comfirn your etrade account it\’s only take 2 days.

Hi Shah, so what would the information, bank details to provide to us citizens for them to bank into our etrade acct? Is it the same as what we fill into paypal (add etrade account in paypal) ie. - bank of new york, etc? Rgds

What I meant if buyer in United States can pay us either cash or cheque and deposit into our etrade account? What details ie. bank or account information to provide to them to perform the transaction?

hi tan, go to etrade.com and log in to your account. go to \\\”Help Center > Manage Accounts > Make deposits, withdrawals, & transfers > Deposit money & assets\\\” you will see downloaded form that for your account and give it to person who want tranfer money to you. Complete the form, sign it, and include:
* The ABA transit routing number: 021000018
* The financial institution name: The Bank of New York
* The account type: Checking
* \\\”104000000\\\” followed by your 8-digit brokerage account number
The form only for US person who want transfer monet to your. If some one outside US to wire money to you go to \\\”Help Center > Manage accounts > Deposit money & assets\\\”. There are intruction for you

i no have passport, for this section “passport number” are u mean fill my ic no malaysia(xxxxxx-xx-xxxx) into it “passport number” and malaysia for “passport country of issuance”?
Or
you mean leave it blank then attach a photocopy of IC to them?

Hi,
I’m Indian and I don’t have passport but have a PAN Card issued by India Goverment. In application form there are fields ‘Passport Number’ and ‘Passport Country of Issuance’. So what info to fill in these fields?

Hi uday, of course you can use any id card issue by your goverment. In your passport number fill in your PN card number and please send photocopy of your PAN card and don’t forget to mention to them that PAN card is issue by India Goverment. Just write a small note to etrade and post with your form.

Hi Thomas, write your MYKAD number in passport number section. And write a small note to remind to etrade that MYKAD is equal to SSN in US. that all.

Do I need to fill in the W-8BEN form? or can I just submit it empty? cause you instruction ends for the first form only not the second form.

Nick, i actually don’t understand what you mean by second form because W-8BEN form that i have only have one pages. Hi, thanks a lot for the information you have made explicit here, this is trully important for people looking for answers.
1. After initial deposit is made, do I need to have a minimum balance on my account (eg. not less than 100$) ?
2. Can I use funds on my account once it is activated? (tranfers, atm , … )
3. Do you know if people from Latin America can open this account?

1. You don’t need to have minimum balance. My etrade account now have balance USD 0.50. haha…
2. yes. you can use the fund. you can withdraw the money at any atm that has visa logo or u can use check book.
3. Right now i don’t have any info about Latin America who succesfull open the account. Maybe you can try first and if you sucessful, let me know k. You can help other Latin people righ?

Hi, great info ! I have printed out the form and am filling it now.
A question here : My full name is TEH PEIK HOON, but my Paypal name I put Vedis Teh. I went over to check and found that if I wanted to change to my full name, I have fax some documents to them to prove.
Should I open another account for Paypal ?
The last part of this form: Printed name - What should I put ? Please advice.

Vedis, there no need for open another account. just using same account. because for withdrawal, their using the bank info u are giving to them. But im not sure.
If you can’t withdraw because the name is not same, you can simply open another paypal account. So you need to try first.
About print name, i’m using my full name that i filll in etrade form.

Hi, after read thru the above Etrade infor and print it out and ready to post, suddenly read an article from another blog :
“All new applications from non-US members are now to be processed and maintained by E*Trade Securities Hong Kong branch - so it’s no longer easy as before to add E*Trade as your US bank account in your PayPal account — you may just not be able to. In addition, you won’t be getting the VISA Platinum Debit+ATM card too. Including the US checking book, I believe. And although all these apply to NEW applicants only, I also heard that ACH or direct-deposit can’t be done any more - that means, even old non-US members wouldn’t be able to withdraw their PayPal funds despite they own the ATM card and/or checking book.”
Mean now for aian people, especially Malaysia, WE ARE TOTALLY NO CHANGE TO INVOLVE INTO GLOBLE BUSINESS ? are we totally lost any single tools to access to internet business world?

Is this “paypal_kit_v20.zip” the latest version of etrade Brokerage account forms?
Also after fill those forms is there any way to send them via mail? …(only P.O.)?
