Last week I write 3 methods you can use to withdraw paypal. One of the methods is to open US Bank Account. So today I will show you how to add E*Trade brokerage account to your paypal account so you can use it to withdraw paypal.
- Click Profile tab in after login to paypal.
- Under Financial information, click Back Account.
- Click Add button.
- The form will appears. Fill in using this information:
-
- The routing number: 021000018
- The bank name: The Bank of New York
- The account type: Checking
- Type “104000000″ followed by your 8-digit brokerage account number.
Please let me know if the info I write here cannot be use because maybe e*trade will change the detail in the future. Who knows.

hi babylands, here my sugestion:
1. I think in paypal TOS, you cannot open two account. So better don\’t do it or if you still want to do it please use another addres so they will not think your are the same person.
2. What i can say is paypal is not friendly to international user. Seriously.

Hi, your article is very informative. Thks very much for your contribution.
As for adding etrade via paypal, how do I reconfirm your step ’s 4 ~number of 10400000 (9 digit) as I seem unable to locate this number on etrade website. Is this “universal” for all etrade’s brokerage acct? I have ticked on the application form for the debit card & cheque book, is this sufficient or do I need to re-apply on the website again?
Thks.

the number 10400000 is universal for etrade brokerage account.Just type 10400000 following by your etrade account number. here the example picture http://moneyblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/paypal_bank_screenshot.jpg

Assalamualaikum Shah,
Does the 8-digit brokerage account number comes with the starter kit?I have not yet received the starter kit.Should i pay the USD$5 just after i receive the kit?
Thank you.
September 16th, 2006 at 9:39 AM
syed, the 8-digit brokerage account number will come with your stater kit. after all that 8 digit is your bank account. The USD 5 is not the patment. What i means by USD 5 is your transfer the money from paypal to your etrade account so you eligible to get check and debit card. They only send the cehck and debit card after your account is “active”@have money.I thinks all banks in Malaysia also the same. they only will give your atm card after you deposit some money right?

Congratulations! You have successfully added a U.S. bank account to your PayPal account.
What’s Next?
Confirm your bank account and become eligible for Direct Debit!
——————————————————————————–
Confirm Your Bank Account in 2 Easy Steps
PayPal has made two small deposits into the bank account you just added. These deposits should appear in your bank account in 2-3 business days.
Step 1: Find out the exact amounts of the two deposits (listed as deposits from PayPal) by checking your bank statement or by calling your bank’s customer service department.
Step 2: Log in to your PayPal account and enter the two deposit amounts. By entering the two deposit amounts, you’ll confirm that you are the true owner of the bank account.
Don’t forget to check your bank account for the PayPal deposits and become eligible for Direct Debit!
Thank you for using PayPal!

Zapgirl, u must log in in etrade, see the deposit made by paypal. just as they write in step 1. but the deposit that made by paypal may take 3-4 day to appear in your etrade account. so just wait. when you receive the amount made by paypal. enter the amount in verify box.

hi admin,
I did as per step you provided but don’t see my fund appear in Etrade brokerage account. It’s has been 7 days now. Any clue? Will they be sending me cheque or direct into my account?
October 16th, 2006 at 7:28 PM
Hello Shah,
My E-trade brokerage account number has 10 digits, not 8 digits.
104000000 followed by my account no makes 19 digits altogether.
The max digits possible is 17. (3-17) in Paypal.
What should I do?
Thanks
Rani

Hello admin
first of all i would like to thank you again for setting up such wonderful guideline for newbie like me who are new to paypal.
I have sucessfully received my debit card and activated it through phone. I went to maybank atm machine. However there are limited option available and there is no option to show how much fund available to withdraw.
I’m sorry if i missed it somewhere, but is there any procedure i’m require to transfer the money to my debit card?
OR
it automatical shown how much fund i have that have been funded at the etrade bank account?
Thank you.
October 17th, 2006 at 9:09 PM
hi zapgirl, the money you can withdraw is the money show up in your etrade account. No need to transfer from etrade to visa card. it work like any atm card. like you maybank account. There no need to transfer your money from maybank account to your maybank atm card right? Let me know if you succesfully wihtdraw the money
October 17th, 2006 at 9:42 PM
Rani, i don’t about your account number. as i know the account number is only 8 digit. Better you email etrade ans ask them if there any changed. Let me know what etrade told you. Thanks
October 17th, 2006 at 9:45 PM
Hi hanuman, it should take only 3-4 day to fund apear in your etrade account. ha you check your paypal account? Maybe your fund has been rejected. Ussually, when the fund fails to transfer to etrade, paypal will fund you paypal account back like me where the first time i withdraw the paypal to etrade, i fails and paypal fund back my account and tell me the reason, where the ccount number is wrong. maybe you can ask etrade your routing number. maybe it not same as i write.

Hi Shah,
Quote “Zapgirl, u must log in in etrade, see the deposit made by paypal. just as they write in step 1. but the deposit that made by paypal may take 3-4 day to appear in your etrade account. so just wait. when you receive the amount made by paypal. enter the amount in verify box.”
Where should this “verify box” appear? Because now in Paypal, the Etrade Account shows up but it is “unconfirmed”.
I did receive an email just like zapgirl did, from Paypal and so now I’m waiting for the amount to show up in my Etrade account.
But after I confirm with Etrade that there is Paypal deposit…how to verify it with Paypal?

You said if I use myus.com or another mail service, I will get a problem for verification process, right? What kind of potential problem that I will get? Hi Shah, i have followed your blog about 2 months ago. I successfully added the U.S. bank account to my PayPal account and got verified. What should i do now to get the debit card? Do i have to send more money to etrade account? Or make a call? Thanks in advance for your help - Confused.
March 14th, 2007 at 10:32 PM
Gee, to get debit card you need to deposit some money to your etrade account. for example, i just deposit USD 5 to my etrade account and then contact them to send me a debit card. Yeah…it’s successful. some of my reader also email me tell that he just deposit USD 20 and manage to get the debit card. Just contact them using support form in their website.

Hello! I just got my E*Trade account. But the account number is already 10 digits, so if that numbers 104000000 added it will be 19 digits. I tried to add bank account to my PayPal today. Let’s see what happen. But I am afraid the verification will go to someone else’s E*Trade account, because PayPal will cut it to 17 digits. Is this possible? If the bank verification fails, what will happen to my PayPal account? Is it going to be limited?
August 17th, 2007 at 3:01 PM
Thanks a lot for the help I have got in this blog. I was able to add E*Trade to my Paypal account. Thanks a million. I still have another problem though. My country Kenya is not in the list of countries that one is allowed to withdraw from the paypal account. How does
one go around this? Can I use the E*Trade account by sending from Paypal and then withdrawing with the Debit card that they provide? I am yet to get one though.

Hi,
I was using these settings to get money from PayPal into my ETRADE brokerage account during the last 3 years. Now PayPal told me that the account settings are invalid and they disabled my bank account.
Can anybody confirm which settings should be used from now on?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Gus.
